Very nice symmetry and balance. It evokes a sense of emptiness that I find interesting. I think the car is distracting since it is what draws my eye initially and it doesn't add to the story (which to me is the emptiness of the airport). I think a solitary person would add interest while still conveying the emptiness and loneliness. I like the B&W. |

Great photo. I like the blue in the photo, which creates a feeling of cold and emptiness. Her stride and the swinging bag are perfect. I also like the use of leading lines, which drew me into the photo. |

This is a nice use of intentional camera movement to portray the energy of the people crossing the bridge. I think B&W works. I also find the squiggly white lines a little distracting. The ones on the right side are fine because they are showing movement. The ones in the upper middle don't work as well for me.
I think this is street photography, which I define as recording humanity in a public place. Your photo does that even though it used a creative technique. |

I really like this shot and am also glad you didn't crop it. Having the 2nd person watching the "operation" adds a lot of interest to the photo. I don't find the busy background distracting because it provides context. I think you did a really good job with post-processing to lighten and sharpen the people. |

This is very fun! I really like the colors and the expressions on people's faces. I agree with Lou that removing the shadows in the faces would improve the shot. |

Thanks! I use single-point AF and back-button focusing. After I focused on his eye, I composed the shot. I'll go back and look at the posters - you have a good point about the balance. |

Thanks so much. I love my 24-105mm lens for street photography. I've never used a 24-240 so I don't know if I'd like having the additional zoom or not. How much heavier is it? I have a 100-300mm when I want more zoom capability. I sometimes also use a 50mm prime lens, which is much lighter but less versatile. I was pretty close to the man when I took this shot. Luckily, he was so absorbed watching the event that he didn't get distracted by my taking photos. |
