Hi Kirsti - It looks like our group is split about the power line but to me, it really made the image. Thanks! |

Hi Albert - I'll try lightening the light areas and see how that looks. Thanks for the comments. |

Hi Douglas - Thanks for the comment. I agree that the image isn't as impactful without the wire. I think it tells a story. |

Hi Kirsti - I think this shot makes a good black and white. Also, I really believe everyday, regular items can make compelling images and you've certainly done that. My only suggestion for a change to consider would be to raise the exposure of the tires on the left of the frame and darken the tires on the right side of the frame. To my eye, the tires on the left side with the heavy, interesting tread are much more interesting to look at than the tires with the dirtier, lighter tread tires. Just a suggestion - well seen shot. |

Hi Al - What a great title and a great shot you have. The subject dominates the scene, is very sharp and I love that there is so much detail visible in the fur and antlers. Those details really enhance the impact of the shot. I do see a small whitish branch that looks like it's coming out of one of the top antlers that might benefit from a little darkening to make it less obvious. Great capture. |

Hi Douglas - The Frog genre is a new one to me but I can see the attraction. I like the depth of field used in your shot to help separate the subject from the background. To me, it feels like the impact of the image might be enhanced with a couple more edits. One consideration would be to crop up some from the bottom (maybe up to the plant towards the bottom of the frame) to raise the presence of the subject. Another consideration would be to darken the white areas in the far background around and between the tree limbs. Darkening the background may also help the "star of the show" be more noticeable in the image. |

Hi Barbara - What a great pose you've captured. To me, the crop you added was just right, the shallow depth of field nicely separates the subject from the background, and the bears eyes are nicely visible and sharp. You might consider trying a version with a slightly darker background. The brightness of the background does pull my eye away when I look at the shot, so perhaps a slightly darker background would be something to try to see if you like it. Regardless, nice image. |

I really enjoy photos like this: regular people doing everyday things. You've really captured a great story-telling image. Adding to the impact to me, is that what is likely an everyday activity to the subjects, is a bit unusual, given where we live. Great shot! |
