Thank you for the comments Lance. I have to confess that as a relatively new photographer, I think I will need more experience in the photography world to be able to truly appreciate what you've said. I'll definitely be googling classic tradition and 1940's-1960's jazz club photographs to help me with some context. |

Thanks for the comments Robert. I'd asked him if I could take a few shots and he said yes. Thankfully, he kept on doing what he had been doing and didn't pose. It seems that a high percentage of people that I ask if it's ok to take their photo, instantly pose, which often ruins what made me interested in them in the first place. |

Hi Kirsti and thanks for the comments. I was right in this gentleman's face! I was standing next to him and noticed he was smoking. He looked approachable and I asked if I could take a few shots. He said yes and fortunately, kept on doing exactly what he had been doing before and didn't pose. |

Hi Trung - What a great action shot you captured! I especially love the subject's eyes, which are clearly focused on dealing with what he sees coming next. This is really a great story-telling image. The only suggestion I have would be to slightly increase the exposure on the subject. I think a slight increase in exposure to his hair and skin will make him stand out even more. Regardless, great capture! |

Hi Al - You were channeling your inner Picaso and found a face in the sand. Good eye! I'd be tempted to clean-up two of the extraneous parts of beach debris next to, and under, the "eye" on the left. However, I'm no Picaso and I'm sure he'd love those left in to add even more complexity to the image. |

Hi Kirsti - I think you did a good job handling the halo and adding contrast. From my perspective the most interesting part of the scene is the strange, animal-like looking tree with its brood of babies. I made a version that cropped a lot of the bottom of the image to bring more attention to the trees and cropped in from the left because the image felt a little unbalanced to me. I also leaned in to the halo and even added a little brightness to a couple parts of the sky. Anyway, just another version to see if it gives you any ideas about what you might want to try. |

Hi Ed - I can see why you'd be attracted to talking a photo of this tree. The tree is really unique and interesting. I much prefer the black & white version. One idea to consider would be to lighten the sky a fair amount so the clouds were more subtle, which would make that one-of-a-kind tree stand out even more. |

What an awe-inspiring scene you've captured! If you wanted to try more contrast in the image you might consider darkening the strips of land at the top and bottom to emphasize the falls even more. In my edit, I liked your mist so much, I tried to add even a touch more! Great shot and it must of been a thrill to stand there in person. |
