47 Feb 24 Reply The upper left did seem to have some very subtle detail (but a little bit more might be beneficial). I actually did mean the smaller black area to upper right of the bird's head. Feb 13th

47 Feb 24 Reply Thanks for your comments Kirsti. I think you and Robert might be on to something in terms of a minimalistic image with the removal of the diagonal fence wire. I tried a version with it out and I do think the change made it better. I also removed the bright spots on the left. I played around trying to bring out the sparkles but had no luck. Here's the edited version. Feb 12th
47 Feb 24 Reply Thanks Ed - I agree about the white specks - they need to go. I took some out of the right side of the image but completely missed those. Feb 12th
47 Feb 24 Reply Thanks for the comments Robert. I'll remove the diagonal wire and see how it looks. Feb 12th
47 Feb 24 Comment Hi Albert - I think the sharpness of the bird contrasted with the soft but chaotic background gives this image a lot of impact. My only suggestion would be to see if there is any detail that could be coaxed out of the very black area to the upper right of there bird's head. It's so perfectly black, I find my eye drawn to it, away from the bird. Feb 12th
47 Feb 24 Comment Hi Kirsti - I also really like the concept! I think this is another great storytelling image. I think you did an excellent job processing the image and improving the original capture. You may have already tried this, but I wondered about a different crop that puts the hand in a corner? I don't know if that would make the image more compelling or just strange, but it might be worth a look if you hadn't tried that yet. Nice capture! Feb 12th
47 Feb 24 Comment Hi Trung - What a beautiful capture. The image is very well exposed, the model has an interesting expression on her face and her dress, hat and jewelry, introduces a storytelling element to the shot. I don't have any suggestions for improvement of the photo other than to note the size of the image was quite small, Regardless, great photo! Feb 11th
47 Feb 24 Comment Hi Ed - I love captures like this where the subject isn't looking at the camera - the storytelling impact seems to go way up. The black and white conversion worked well for this image but I think you could take it even little further with more contrast. I took a stab and this is what I got. I used curves adjustments on various elements of the image like the subject's hair, clothes, and beard. I also slightly darkened the background. Feb 11th
47 Feb 24 Comment Hi Robert - This is a tough one for me to weigh in on. It seems like there are so many ways you could choose to edit this. I actually like the original more than the re-edited version. I think the original shows off the snow aspect of the scene better. I did try a version with a tighter crop (down from the top to take out the sky and in from the sides a bit) and that may be something you could try. I liked the crop. The image was still chaotic but in an abstracty way that I thought worked well. All in all, I think you captured a beautiful scene well. Feb 11th
