47 Jul 23 Reply Thanks for the comments Trung! Jul 16th
47 Jul 23 Reply Thanks Robert. There was not much room to the right (or left) if I remember correctly. I think there was a sign on one side and a bike rack on the other so I was a little cramped for getting as much of the sidewalk as I would have liked. Jul 16th

47 Jul 23 Comment Hi Al - I think the strengths of this image are the contrast between the foreground and background, the detail in the shadows, and the overall feeling of depth the image conveys. I found myself wanting to crop on the right side to end the photo at the village. However, when I put my hand up to my screen to see what that might look like, I don't think it improves anything at all - quite the opposite. Great unique scene, well captured. Jul 14th
47 Jul 23 Reply Hi Ed - I would agree with Kirsti to make the right side of the house just a little lighter, a bit closer to the color of the front of the house. Jul 12th
47 Jul 23 Comment Hi Kirsti - Your image does convey a feeling of aloneness with only your shadow and the vast expanse of land. I find myself looking at the sun rays and wanting more but I don't know that making them more prevalent would do anything to improve the image. It would likely just introduce an element that does nothing to add to the feeling of isolation. Nice capture. Jul 12th
47 Jul 23 Comment Hi Dom - Your shot had me completely fooled. Until I read your description I was sure it was a wave. My excuse is that I am a big fan of black and white wave shots so I jumped to that conclusion. Regardless, it's an interesting perspective on a very interesting cloud. I and definitely very wave-like. Good capture. Jul 12th
47 Jul 23 Comment Hello Trung - I think the strengths of this image are the composition, contrast and detail. The image has great story-telling elements as the person on the scooter approaches the individual. Then add in the mystery of what's around the corner and you have an image you want to spend a lot of time with. Great capture! Jul 11th
47 Jul 23 Comment Hi Ed - I agree with Kirsti that your processing has made it easy to imagine I'm looking at the structure from a long time ago! I like the composition and overall exposure. I do find my eye continually darting over to the brighter white part of the building on the right side. It might be interesting to slightly reduce the exposure of that balloon-like shape on the right to try and keep the viewer's eye on the more interesting main part of the home. Jul 11th
47 Jul 23 Comment First, hats off for a 3:30 AM adventure! Despite the early hour, the shot shows it was well worth the sleep tradeoff. I don't have enough experience with nighttime shots to offer much in advice. That said, I had to try an edit and thought maybe the presence of the comet could be emphasized with a combination of cropping and some burning and dodging. Congratulations on getting the shot!
