This is a great capture of a unique scene. I agree with Al's comment about darkening and blurring the background elements to really emphasize the main subject. I'd also suggest removing the very small, but very bright object to the right of the subject's left hand. Nice photo! |

Thanks for the comments Ed as well as the explanation of what Rotor-Molding is! Your explanation of the process made perfect sense. I'll play around with the bright spots and shadows and see what that looks like. Thanks again. |

I think the changes you made improved the image. However, I also would acknowledge Kirsti's point about the balance problem that results from removing the sign. I did a quick & dirty version to remove the wooden structure to restore the balance and simplify the image. I like the simplified version but perhaps there's a significance to the wood structure that warrants its retention? |

I think the wide perspective works well for this shot but agree with Al's comment about the light at the entrance dominating the image. I tried some quick & dirty clone-stamping to reduce the appearance of the opening and lessen the impact of the brightness. That might do the trick but would take a little work. Once the entrance light was less intense, those amazing cave walls and the ice looked even more dramatic. |

think the panorama perspective is perfect for this photo. The image has a great tonal range. There is good detail in both the highlights and shadows. I'm really struggling to find a suggestion to improve the image. It's just a great shot. (I did notice there may be a couple of dust spots above the left-most peak.) |

This is a great story telling image in that it makes me wonder what the focus of the dog's attention is. I also like the mystery of the darkness in the alley in the back. For a suggestion of a change you might consider cropping in a bit on both sides (but maybe a little more on the left side to the alley wall) and up from the bottom a touch. I'm a fan of dark alley shots and would be tempted to darken the parts of the image that are not the dog.

Nice action capture. I like the position of the subjects, particularly the one on the receiving end of the throw. I understand you were going for the warm tone to convey a feeling but from my perspective that creates a disconnect with the background. The sepia tone had me expecting something old and classic but the signs in the background seem contradictory to that tone. |
