I like Quang Phan's crop on this shot. While I can understand the minimalist approach, I think the small plant may actually distract from the beauty of the different layers in the scene. Just my opinion. It's all very subjective. |

Hi Kieu Hahn,
I always take at least two panos. One that starts from left to right and then from right to left. I usually use the wide angle lens. When I first started doing iPhone panos I was going too slow. I recommend moving quicker than you think you have to as you have more of a chance of staying level. In this case I think I had only two takes. Jack mentioned distortion- I think that is also more likely to occur if you try to include too much in your picture. The iPhone pano will go to a 270 degree view. I never push it that far and I don't normally have a lot of distortion. |

I got it, that makes sense and as you and Marti pointed out the cloud formations were nice that day. |

Very nice landscape taken from a great perspective. I would leave the sky also. You could try the ambiance slider in snapseed which does does a good job of enhancing skies and making them look a little more dramatic without overdoing the effect (it really isn't a bad sky as is). Nice job. |

Very cool abstract. Colors are amazing. The diminishing perspective creates a great sense of depth. You feel like you are being dragged into the scene by the 3D effect. I'll have to catch that exhibit next time we're in DC. Hope the exhibit will still be there. |

Hi Ruth- I kind of like the original composition without the crop because I feel it gives a sense of place and is more interesting. I thought the photo might be more impactful by adding some texture and contrast so I edited it a bit in snapseed (using the grunge tool and some basic tone and color adjustments). Maybe not to your taste, but just thought I would throw in a different interpretation of the scene. Hope you don't mind. |

Quang Phan- I Like the way you froze the movement of the waves. Taken in nice light. Great detail throughout. Nice composition with the rocks in the foreground adding interest. Tone and color balanced really well. Well done! |
