I agree with everyone's comments about editing. I don't think it needs too much. The only thing I did was crop the picture a little bit because I thought the large pole on the left kind of threw the image off balance (to me the image was crying out for symmmetry and I thought that the big pole in the foreground detracted from it). Great example of diminishing perspective and how that draws your eye through the image. Curious waht your thoughts about the crop were Kieu-Hahn. |

Jack,
Interesting how the background did blur out- you must have been very close to the log. I've shot these types of shots in portrait mode to blur out the background on the new 13 (I don't think the 8 has portrait mode, right?). Shows how the wide angle perspective exaggerates the size of the foreground elements. Lighting was perfect for this shot. |

Belinda,
I like this still life alot. The only thing I would add is if you were going to paint (either digitally or for real), I would choose a completely white background for the image/painting (maybe put up a piece of white foam core behind the apples and reshoot it, otherwise you're doing a lot of editing you don't have to do). I like the way you've organized the apples (and stems). Nicely done. |

Nice storytelling image Gene. I like the contrast of the black iron chairs against the white snow. The image is sharp throughout. I know you don't process your iphone images too much, but I was wondering if the snow was a little overexposed (with a little loss of detail), but that could just be my monitor. |

Hi Kieu-Hahn,
The telephoto lens was the native iphone 77 mm camera/lens that comes with the 13 pro. Not familiar with the 77 mm leica telephoto and didn't know they made a shooting lens for the iphone (I tried to look it up and couldn't find anything other than a scope in the size you mentioned). I did boost the vibrance up a bit after you mentioned it (IMO saturation slider made the image a bit over saturated). I guess its a matter of taste a lot of times. |
