Well, the VLOS rule remains ambiguous. I had a clear unobstructed line of sight to the drone, so there was no danger of flying into something. But, yes, it was too far away to actually see.
I've read endless threads about what the FAA mean about his rule. as a medium size drone could not be seen more than several hundred yards away, and clearly many operators routinely fly further away. |

I can only echo drema's comments. Cropped too close on the top and tilted down to the right.
And a clearer point of view would have helped. Getting closer to the tank farm in the back might have been very interesting. |

A few comments on the composition:
It felt pretty unbalanced, too much stuff on the left side, not enough on the right side.
And a clearer point of view might have helped, for example filling the frame with the boats in storage or getting closer to the five boats in the upper left. Just the single boat in the water might have been very interesting. |

Once again as the last person to comment a lot of my thoughts have been picked up already. Yes, the water in particular looks unnaturally sharpened.
I also struggled with getting exactly what you wanted your viewers to look at. My eye just seems to wander everywhere.
And, if you were staying in the area, taking this image later/earlier in the day would have been better. |

Very nice job on the HDR post, looks natural. and as others have said I like the "mood" of the image.
Comment on the crop....the lighthouse is a tiny bit off center. To my eye it should be exactly centered or moved of to one side or the other, in this case probably crop in from the left. |

Very cool. You have to love how you are pulled into the image by the roads. That said, ideally leading lines should lead somewhere, and without a stronger sky to my eye you just go to empty space. |

As the last person to comment I fear I get stuck with a little repetition! I agree the image needs more room at the top. And to my eye saturation/contrast was pushed slightly too far.
Depending of course on battery life I might have held out for a brighter colored car. And the most interesting part of the road seems to be on the left, and possibly flown over there to zoom in on that? |
