I carried the drone (and still camera) on the hike. I took off just to the left of the crater, outside of the image. Yes, I would not fly two miles away, although in theory the drone would stay connected. |

No sky replacement, same sky. In general I do not replace skies. Remember I'm shooting five images at different exposures and then merging in LR HDR. But I can only show one base image. I usually pick the middle exposure to show in this dialog and the sky was pretty bright in that one |

Hi Janos, thanks for the compliment about post!
Iceland....this was my 4th trip there so it was pretty focused. We just went to the Snaefalenes Peninsula and then some of the sights in north Iceland. I've seen "no drones" signs at Godafoss, Gulfoss and Geysir. And read about restrictions at a few other popular spots. But other tan taht it seems mostly uncontrolled. there is the same 400ft/120m height restriction as in the USA.
I have seen a few photo workshops that advertise themselves as "Iceland Drones" which sound like fun |

There is distortion in the foreground especially on the right, at least if you compare it to "Original 2". It appears to slope downward and was maybe introduced during the panorama merge? Possibly you could have tried a different rendering model?
A nice setting with a nice sky but I think the panorama just has too many things in the image and the brightest one -- the white building -- is right in the middle. Here is an idea about other framing.

Very nice, and a "cool" spot. I think you positioned the drone relative to the iceberg and boats just right. If you had enough battery life I would have held out for just one boat in the image, or removed the lower left boat in post. I would have liked the upper water, especially the upper right to be darker. All in all a very striking image. |

Nice sky and nice that you caught few fall colors.
Would a crop like this make sense? Or having shot the image closer and more from the right side. Getting rid of the cars and making lighthouse more prominent

Yes, the 400 foot limit can be a crushing blow to get the images we'd like :-( Given that limitation the only thing I can see you might have done differently is to have rotated the drone a little and had USA on more of a diagonal. Your post looks just right. Maybe take out the barn? |

Well done on the crop! To my eye maybe you could have left a little more sky in and made the image less square.
I like the composition. Consider a vignette, or, if you did, a little darker. Net net a very nice image. |
