Great concept Tom, I too noticed that the person's hand doesn't realistically grip the lever. I like the tone, so nicely done. |

Hi Brian, having read your description, my thoughts are what would the man in the wheelchair be listening to; perhaps about the life of the artist or the model? Perhaps he's daydreaming! And so, the idea of "peeling back" would suggest that he's visualising something different to what's already there.
You might consider having the tip of the top left corner go through the man's hand to show that he's holding it - easily done through masking. Also I would suggest that some space be added on the right side of the frame to allow the visual of "peeling back" - it feels a bit "crowded"
Having said that, I find your image creative and clever. Well done |

Just lovely, the composition is great, I like how the three flowers are separated by a leaf giving them both colour and visual balance. I also like the bottom left leaf reaching upwards as well. Great job. |

Hi Bob, thanks for your kind comments. It's great to get other people's perspectives. I left the stem there to give some colour balance to the dominant purple colour of the flower. As mentioned to Marti, I could have selected a leaf. |

Thanks for your feedback Marti, much appreciated. I tried to remove it after I saw your comments, however the remove tool doesn't do a good job with the textures I've added in the background. I would have to go back to the beginning.
I left if there because the purple is dominant and the green provide a colour balance. In hindsight, I could have selected one of the other leaves. |

Rich what a great crop - I like your version of it. I chose this composition because the main part of the flower reminds me of a flamenco dancer's dress coming up as she's dancing! Your version shows the bottom part of that "dress" beautifully. |

Hi Ingrid, I must admit, I'm not familiar with this flower and so had to "google" it and noticed that all of the images had these gorgeous "spirals" as part of the flower. Quite stunning. For me, all the parts work well and I particularly like how there's a "spiral" of budding flowers at the base and one on top of the flower. I do agree that the two, out of focus spirals could be cloned out. |

Kamal, I agree with the others, this is so lovely and very creative, you've done a lovely job in presenting the flower. I don't mind the background and would suggest: flip the image horizontally so that the flower comes from the left and just darken the background to make the flower stand out more. Well done. |

Nicely done Doug, I like the abstract representation; flowing into the frame, the center swirl and then flowing out. Beautiful strong colours. |

Hi Marti, the image is a small size and so it's difficult to view it properly. I've zoomed in but it becomes blurry. From what I can see, it doesn't stand out as strongly as it should from its background. It's an interesting image. |

Bob, I'm with Rich. I really like how you have presented the flower, the red rose with the sharp and bright yellow center is the main focal point and it's background adds to the interest. If you find the upper left colour distracting, my suggestion would be to darken the background. |
