Thanks for your feedback Hazel and do agree with you about the lighter part of the tree stump. I did tone it down as much as possible and in hindsight should have removed it. My only option as it would be to cover it up with overgrown grass. |

Tom, this is an interesting concept and you've executed it very well with the mono look as being the best option. For me, I find the image disorienting and would have preferred to see your daughter with her eyes opened. As it is, she looks a bit odd walking with her eyes closed with some documents in her hand. Pity you don't have a full image of the old Roman statute and with that you would have a stronger story with your granddaughter being "A Roman Empress" walking to the Roman senate |

Melissa, I'm a fan of abstract art, I just can't seem to manage it myself. I think you've done an excellent job and as Brad said achieved your goal in providing your garden group with an abstract piece of artwork. My only comment would be to place the elf in the center as the garden's keeper and have the butterflies surround him/her. From my perspective, the elf could be the focal point of interest. Otherwise, beautifully done and I really like the colour palette you've chosen. |

Hi Hazel, the portrait of the two cats is just lovely. I think you've done a wonderful job extracting them from the busy background and layering textures to create a nice smooth blurred background to make the cats stand out. For me the point of interest is their eyes and you've captured that beautifully. Congratulations, well done. |

Hi Brad, having read the description of your image, I can see that you've achieved your objective and it does sum up most of the walks in the woods by humans (me included) often not paying full attention to the environment. I see the squirrel as almost saying "I'm here" - nicely done. |

Hi Melissa, welcome to our group. Thanks for your lovely comments, it's very much appreciated. The sky is a blend of a few cloud images as well as one clear night sky. I photographed the moon when there was partial cloud, so that made it easy to fit it with the clouds. What you see as a "can" is actually where the tree was cut. I think it's the light that I placed over it that gives it that look.
This was a fallen tree on a council reserve and that's what the council workers left behind. |

Hi Ingrid, thanks for your comments and see what you mean, I could have retained the original vibrancy of the buds in the final image. |

Thanks for you comments Marti, I used generative fill to take out the large blurred leaf in the foreground and that what it gave me after a few attempts. Do agree that it's somewhat distracting. |

Thanks for your feedback Bob, much appreciated. It was taken in low light. What I failed to do is take a number of shots at different focal points and then stack them. I've done that multiple times hand held. |

Ingrid, I think you done an excellent job in the editing process of this image. From the original image to the end result is just gorgeous - the flowers appear translucent and the background suits it really well. |

Doug, I've looked at your images a number of times and I sincerely can't make up my mind which I like the best and so I'll say I like both the edited white as well as the edited purple one. Each have their own beauty and both are different in their own way. You've done a great job in taking out the distracting bricks in the background. Really nice. |

Hi Rich, totally amazed and this looks just like a "forest" and I can just imagine a person walking among the dandelion's "trees" - just beautiful. |

Hi Kamal, I too agree that the image could benefit with a tighter crop and lighten both the bird and the flower. You might also consider adding a bit of sharpening in CS6 to bring out the texture of the bird and flower.
I'm surprised at the Samsung Ultra mobile camera ability. Taking pictures of birds on flowers is challenging at the best of times. |

Hi Marti, this is a lovely image of a yellow rose, I like the off center composition, the tone and the fact that you brought out the rose's texture. I can understand Bob's comment but I don't mind that you can't see the top part of the rose. For me the focal point is the center part of the rose. |

Bob, this abstract has the vision of a "vortex" the more you look at it the more you're drawn to the center. You've created a strong image with just two main colours. I'm with Rich, in terms of a crop. Nicely done. |
