Hi Tom, good point, thanks for seeing that. I'll make adjustments in my next version. It's always good to have a second "pair of eyes" cheers |

Thanks for letting me know Brad. I had a inkling that it might be a statute of Jesus and wondered why it would be buried like that. It's a powerful looking statute. |

Brad, I have to ask "what is that statute" in the water? It looks old and eerie. My imagination just went wild with your image and I hope that you don't mind but this is how I saw it. I merged the two images; your original and final as I thought the statute in the water is just a great opportunity to tell a story with the bird over it. I added some rays, a texture of concrete to give the rays "dust and mist" and finished in the LUT "foggy night" |

Hi Tom, I really like how you have transformed this image into a more interesting landscape conveying a serene scene of after the "floods" have settled with the reflections of the trees and the bird. I like the bird there as birds normally come back after a storm. I would suggest that you put back the atmospheric hills in the horizon to separate the "water" from the sky. As it is there is a merging of the two which does create some tension for the viewer. I've taken the liberty of placing the horizon back and as you can see, just a "slither" of it to separate the water and the sky. I've also darken the bird reflection a little as I nearly missed it. Just lovely. |

Very nice Rich, I really like the hint of the yellow poppies in the background. The crop gives a lot of emphasis on the two flowers and the foliage, it suits it well. |

The angle of this image is just right. It shows the flowers at its best and in its environment and taking at a wide f-stop gives it a soft, dreamy look. The empty space on the right does not add to the image and maybe a tighter crop focusing on the two flowers and the leaves. Apart from that I wouldn't do much to this image. |

Hi Ingrid, I'm blown away when I read that you took this image with your right hand while you held the stem with your left, especially at a shutter speed of 1/40sec and the outcome is a sharp image. Terrific job. The outcome is a beautiful image and the lighting is perfect. |

Hi Kamal, I agree with the other comments, a very creative image and you've done a terrific job in applying a texture over the image. I do share Ingrid's comment about leaving the stem in to "anchor" the flower. A lovely composition. |

Hi Doug, I do agree with Ingrid, I like how the green leaves are positioned, one lower left and the other upper right, a great balance forcing the viewer into the center of the flower. Great job in achieving a sharp image on a windy day. |

Hi Marti, one of my favourite, especially this colour combination. Do agree with the other comments, the blurring of the background to separate the flowers gives them more definition. I don't think there's anything to add - well done. |

Hi Bob, after reading the comments, I'll now explore Harold Davis (not heard of him}. I much prefer your latest version - it doesn't have a "bowl" shape and appears more natural.

Hi Ingrid, I see that the common thread is the texture in this image and can see the issue with it. I wasn't so sure about using the texture initially and perhaps I didn't chose the best to highlight the flower. Darkening the image via adjustments does work well.

Hi Doug, thanks for your comments, it's a texture but I made it more transparent - perhaps another one may have been more suitable. |

Thanks for your comments Marti. It's a texture and do see what you mean. I certainly wasn't so sure on how to present this flower. It's a lot nicer in real life and doesn't really photograph well. |

Thanks for your comments Bob, its appreciated. I can see the dot and will have it removed. I'll check on the texture and remove it from there. |
