Hi Tom, yes, that works for me, I like it. I can visualise many scenarios out of this image; she's fallen out accidentally, or the plane is loosing its passengers as it's about to dive and crash, the pilot is blinded by the rays or she's a sky diver who forgot her parachute . Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. |

Hi Tom, very nice concept, something I've been thinking of doing. My only comment would be is that they need to be falling from "something" to give the story emphasis. The main subject's expression and position indicates that she could, very well, be falling either out of an airplane or helicopter or even a "flying carpet" that would be good! A wing from a plane or blades from a helicopter at the top of the frame would be enough to indicate that something has happened to these people. |

Hi Brian, another great abstract image and predominantly all in three colours. You do these well.
Merry Christmas to you and your family and a happy new year. |

Hi Hazel, very nicely done, the look on the girl's face suits the waterfall background. It's something one would do when near a waterfall as it has a calming effect. The fact that you have faded her works for me in terms of the proportion of the girl to the background. I agree with Tom, you could add more contrast. |

Hi Brad,
The image has a nice atmosphere to it and the orange jacket of the girl is well suited to make her stand out in the cold, mist of the sea foreshore. I'm with Tom that the image could be enhanced by repositioning the girl and cropping without losing the story. I like the texture you've placed over the image, nice touch. |

Hi Tom, thanks for your comments and suggestion, I like the idea of adding some light coming from the book. I'll incorporate it and see how it turns out. |

Hi Brad, thanks for your comments, the chicken was only a second thought as I "opened" that page a bit more in PS to give it some depth. I'll take your comments on board and see how it fits. |

Hi Hazel, I share your views about including other animals besides the lambs. I had thought of baby ducks, chicks etc but I didn't have any of these images and as I prefer to use my own stock images and that's all I have are the lambs. These were born spring of 2022 and thought baby lambs with 3 year old boy. Thanks for your feedback it's very welcomed. |

Hi Brian, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated as always. The book is about animals, and maybe I could have put a swan coming out of the book as it might better indicate that "it" wanted to go on a journey with the lambs and my grandson. I somehow had a thought that you might ask about my "sky birds" and because I couldn't fit them in, I included a superb fairy-wren on the right side sitting on a log - they live in my garden. I'm pleased that you noticed that there are no sky birds. |

Rich, the fuji lenses are very good. I shot this image at f6.4 at 1/250 sec and ISO 400. Sorry if I missed let you with my description. |

Hi Doug, I'm sorry if I missed let you, the lens is a 35mm f1.4 lens but I didn't shoot this image at f1.4. The camera setting are: f6.4, 1/250sec, ISO 400 manual mode. |

Hi Rich, very creative abstract image. I love the yellow against the grey background. Like Kathryn, I find the top left side brighter than the center which is the main point of interest. However, I don't think you should crop it out as it adds to the image but rather de-saturate that part to bring it in line with the other outer parts of the image. This will make the center stand out more. Very cleaver and well done. |

Hi Kathryn, I wasn't sure where you were heading with this image until I read your description. I like the way you handled the more creative part of a nature photo by including some overlays. Nicely done. I don't have any comments that would add to your intended vision. |

Kamal, I share Bob's view of your lovely pink flower, the colour is beautiful, it's sharp and it stands out from the background. The only thing that you can fix is cloning out the sharp green leaf coming from the bottom of the frame. That tool is available in CS6. Nicely done. |

Hi Doug, I tend to agree with Bob and Jacob, I think the soft, pastel background colour suits the rose very well giving it a painterly look. Lovely coloured rose. |

Hi Jacob, what a beautiful flower, I especially like the colour, just stunning. I'm with Jacob, I believe that you blurred the background just enough to make the flower stand out and further enhanced it with your editing. Would look lovely as a still life. |

Hi Bob, the lily is just lovely. I like how the light goes through the petals and it's a technique that I often try to capture with my flower photography. I don't mind the background as the colour of the lily is very strong, dominant and takes up most of the frame. My only comment is that the top petal is cut off at the top of the frame. Personally, I would like to see the flower in its entirety. Other than that, no other suggestion. |
