41 Aug 23 Reply Hi Brian, thank you for your constructive feedback and it seems to be in line with the other's comments. I think I'll "shelf" this and work on it some other time. I'll start afresh with another house and some dead trees and post that in the future. Aug 30th
41 Aug 23 Comment Hi Lisa, I like how you've created the smoke surrounding the man, it gives the image drama and atmosphere. I share Hazel's view that the image would be enchanced if you could get the molten metal to flow from the hole in the furnace. Aug 25th
41 Aug 23 Reply Thanks Lisa for your suggestions and comments. What I would change in this image is to move the large tree closer to the house or maybe behind the house. The chicken would have no hope with the egale even if it did see it. I will have a look at it terms of its perspective. It was originally to be more in the foreground, I might have accidently moved it back. Lightening in a dry Australian landscape can mean fire especially if the grass is brown and dry. I enjoy the different perspectives and the comments, it gives me ideas of where to go next. Thanks for your feedback. Aug 24th
41 Aug 23 Reply Thanks for your comments and suggestions Hazel, I welcome the feedback. Aug 24th
41 Aug 23 Reply Thanks Tom, my internet has been down lately so only received the notice and had a look at the gallery. Aug 24th
41 Aug 23 Reply Tom, thanks for comments and suggestions, I'll take those on board as it's a working image. The eagle is Australia's largest bird of prey and it normally raises the feathers on its head when it goes after its prey. The eagle is in proportion to the tree as it's achored by its original branch. Aug 24th
41 Aug 23 Comment Tom, I do agree with the others, it's a fun and and well balanced image. As a suggestion, it would be surreal to see a number of golf balls heading over to the other side of the waterfall.

Also congratulations on your HM in the PSA Pictorial competition. Well done.

41 Aug 23 Comment Brad, I prefer the image with the two players, it looks more authentic in my view. The girl with the light coloured shirt looks as she's jumping over the leaf to get to the ball. I agree with Tom that some contact shadow under the girls shoes as well as shadow from their body would anchor them to the leaf. You already have an indication of where the shadow needs to cast and that is from the shadow of the y leaf where the ball is. Interesting concept. Aug 24th
41 Aug 23 Reply Thanks for your feedback Brad. The lightning is an overlay in screen blend mode. You can buy them from various suppliers. I bought mine from Etsy, here is a link https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1413809289/80-realistic-lightning-photoshop?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_au_en_au_d-art_and_collectibles-photography-other&utm_custom1=_k_Cj0KCQjwldKmBhCCARIsAP-0rfwx9T7PBdaI3q471C3Qp8OOa_74u4-f1lGbodnAvLHUhI0bVMqblTgaAteoEALw_wcB_k_&utm_content=go_344333648_19782428288_78802688768_pla-106550416355_c__1413809289enau_102845289&utm_custom2=344333648&gclid=Cj0KCQjwldKmBhCCARIsAP-0rfwx9T7PBdaI3q471C3Qp8OOa_74u4-f1lGbodnAvLHUhI0bVMqblTgaAteoEALw_wcB
It's in Australian dollars and I'm confident that you would have similar organisations in the US.

80 Aug 23 Comment Rich, I just think this image is super, I really can't make any suggestion but can only look at it and admire it. Just lovely. Aug 24th
80 Aug 23 Comment Kamal, I find the original image very pleasing, the yellow centre against the white petals is the focal point in my view. Much more pleasing that the mono version. My comment would be to darken the background so that the flower stand outs more and use some dodge and burn to bring out the veins in the petals. Aug 24th

80 Aug 23 Comment Doug, I too find this image very pleasing the green against the warm, off white just sets it off. It certainly is surreal and just lovely. Aug 24th
80 Aug 23 Comment Bob, I find the colour of the flower against the blue (presume it's sky blue) very pleasing and the green leaves just complements the colour balance. My only comment about this image is to remove the out of focus bottom leaves and use content aware fill to create a more balanced symmertical image. To give you an idea, I've taken the liberty of using content aware fill and cropped into a square. Aug 24th
80 Aug 23 Comment Hi Jacob, what lovely orange colour and the backlight makes this image even better as you can see the veins of the petals. I like that you've left the bud on the side. I do agree with both Bob and Rich that you could lighten the centre part of the flower to bring out the details. I would also clone out the house and darken the background so that the flower stands out more. Aug 20th
80 Aug 23 Reply Hi Rich, thanks for your feedback. I do agree with your comments and went a bit further and removed the bud. I posted the revised version under Bob's comment. Aug 20th
80 Aug 23 Reply Thanks for your feedback Jacob. Aug 20th
80 Aug 23 Comment Hi Bob, I agree, I did struggle on whether to leave the two buds on either side of the flower and having done so now, I admit that it looks better. I wanted to make the inner, smaller petals stand out against the backdrop of the larger petals and I think the mono achieves that effect. Thanks for your feedback. Aug 10th
