80 Jul 23 Comment Hi Kamal, I agree with the others, this image has a story to tell with the bee gathering pollen. My suggestion is that the poppy is a little wash out as it looks like you took the image in bright sunlight conditions. As the bee and the stamen is the focal point and story of the image, I would recommend that the background be darken, the poppy saturated to bring out its colour and lighten the centre with the bee and stamen so that you're drawn to it. I've made some quick adjustments to give you an idea of what I mean. I hope it's ok. Jul 22nd
80 Jul 23 Comment Hi Doug, I am of the same view as what has been said about your lovely pink rose. You've handled it very well as there is enough separation between the two pink tones to make the rose stand out. Jul 22nd
80 Jul 23 Comment Hi Jacob, I like how you've handled this dahlia, I have one very similar colour in my garden. My only suggestion is to bring out the yellow centre which would give not only a lovely contrast but also complementary balance between the deep orange and yellow. I don't mind the petals as they are, it give the image character. Jul 22nd
80 Jul 23 Comment Hi Bob, it's always a pleasant surprise when you post one of your creatives and although I like the colours and the unusual pattern that you have created from the original flower, it is so way out that there's no resemblance of a flower at all. I'm a fan of abstract images but this image has a lot of empty space around the pattern which leads to lack structure, texture and depth. Jul 22nd
80 Jul 23 Comment Rich, I share both Bob and Jacob's view, you have handled this image very well in ensuring that there's no loss of detail in the brightest part of the flower. It's a lovely composition and the colours stand out from the black background. Well done. Jul 22nd
80 Jul 23 Comment Hi Kathryn, I like how you have put these elements together, they work very well and make the flower stand out. Well done. Jul 22nd
