Thanks for the comments - this was taken under late afternoon skies. Used the clarity slider just a little to make the blue in the skies pop out - but didn't adjust the saturation at all on this one. Just a beautiful spot!

Really like this image Sherry - The contrasting colors, the moon, the lighthouse - All the elements work together to me and create a nice shot. My only personal preference would be to have the foreground tree in sharp focus as well. It may be sharp and crisp in the original and gotten lost when you compressed for the website - but that is my observation.

Greetings Ian. Looks like you got the silky water appearance you were after. Can be very hard to do during peak sunlight hours. I have never tried a long exposure that included clouds / sky in the image - generally just on water falls or riverbeds. For me personally, the blurry clouds distract me in this image and make me feel like it is out of focus. Just my observation. The crop and framing seem spot on. |

Another excellent image Peter! Really like the colors in the sky and the reflections in the water. The roadway is the perfect leading line to draw the viewer in to the image.
If it was my image - I would try cropping the bottom of the image to crop out about the bottom third of the picture removing the orange barrels and first car on the right - almost making it panorama style. Just my thoughts. |

Very nice shot Dhananjay. At first glance I thought it was almost a staged "engagement" type of shot - but for capturing a moment - well done. If I lived there - I would be cataloging that location as a great spot to pose pictures in both daytime and sunrise / sunset situations.
