I like your usage of the slower shutter speed to capture the movement in the clouds. I like your foreground element, but wish you had your tripod up a tiny bit higher so that the tree is separated from the background, just a bit more breathing room at the top would be nice in my opinion. |

Nice shot Ed. To my eye, it feels like the trees are sharpened a bit too much and it distracts me and keeps my eye there. |

HI Carol, I think there's lots of different ways you could have composed this. I agree that the few wisps of branches detract from the image, BUT I could also see how if there were more and if it was above the mountains, just in the sky, that might work! I like your second crop, but I would want to see the entire s curve of the land that you had in the original. The clouds look a bit too flat for my liking, maybe boost the whites and a tiny bit of dehaze might help? |

I love the breaking wave in the top left moving toward the rocks and fall. I think you did a good job with your shutter speed, freezing both the breaking wave and the "falls" |

Thanks Francois, TBH, I cannot remember why I was shooing at f6.3. We were there a bit and I might have moved to take another shot right before this and forgot to set the aperture back. Totally agree with your assessment on that :D |
