Thanks Ed, I always find it interesting what draws people to specific images. I could have taken the shot without the grass, but purposefully framed it this way by getting low down in the fields! I never mind you changing an image f mine, I like to see how others would edit! |

Trying for a 3rd time to post this!
I like this Ed, great timing. I also think that it would be nice to see the riders a bit more. I took the liberty of making a few quick edits, globally lifted the shadows, then two linear grads, one on the top and bottom to bring the eye into the center. I then added a radial filter over the riders and lightened them a bit, finally duplicated and inverted that radial to darken the outside a tad to further bring the eye in. Let me know what you think! |

I agree with Tom's comments Darcy! In addition, I'd try to take an radial filter or brush to the middle of the image where the sun is reflecting off the ocean to highlight that a bit more and help the eye move from the silhouette to the sunset.

Tom,
I like your composition of this image…the leading lines from both side, leading to the center then up to the peak of the mountain. The sun rays coming through the mist (assuming it was mist) are lovely. I don't think you need as much sky as you have in there and the dark clouds in the top right are a tiny bit distracting and I might look to crop this just below them. Nice shot! |
