Thanks Darcy, if you get a chance, let me know if the edit I added looks better or if you feel is still needs to be a bit darker |

I really like the dappling on the right hand side on the mountains. I like how the poplars lead my eye to them, I think I'd try brighting them up a tiny bit otherwise make them a bit more of the focal point.

Hi Jay,
Did you focus stack this as well? Impressed with the DOF on this from the fern to the background.
Nice job highlighting the primary fern in the foreground. IMO, I think that the top of the clouds may be a tad too bright and are fighting with the highlighted fern. |

I like the low clouds and fog in this image and I'm sure you were glad you turned around!
I see you show it at 400 and think that if you have an image a tad wider, I'd like to see that. I like the rocks on the bottom right and am wanting to see a bit more of the water around them and in the foreground, Just a tiny bit there and in the top left I think would help frame this a bit better IMO. |

Tom, I like how you used the greens at the bottom of the frame, but am wanting to see a tad bit more, especially on the right side.
The composition of the bridge to bring my eye back toward the city is nice and I like the warmth on the left leading to the cooler colors on the right.
Great job on the focusing throughout the image.

If you're going back out, try different perspectives as well, from high, low, perhaps getting further back and compressing the scene with a longer focal length, getting really close and perhaps a closeup? Good luck and if I think of something else, will add it here! |

Hi Ed, first , good for you for taking this journey! Congrats!
Onto the images. On first glance,I think it would be helpful to highlight the driftwood a bit more, perhaps with a vignette, or lightening up the center a bit? It's hard to see the details in the smaller images, so you might have done this already, but I'd try to sharpen the driftwood as well with a bit more contrast. Some of these next to each other look flat. For ones with a horizon, check that they are level. I also think you can create more depth, with some linear grad at the bottom and maybe top of the images to highlight the driftwood.
I hope that is the type of feedback you were looking for! If not, please let me know!

Thanks Francois, great feedback. Seeing it on the bigger screen that I'm looking at now, I can totally see what you mean. There's enough detail there, that I might be able to adjust the brightness. Will try and repost to this thread.
