Oh, the tree suggestion is a good one, perhaps a vertical pano? Then the foreground and top of trees could be captured. |

Must have been an amazing trip!
My eye goes straight to the building and I just want to get closer to them! |

Great depth of field and agree with the vertical choice for composition. I like the reflections of the poplar trees.
I think if you whitened the water in the foreground and the cloud reflection just a little, I think my eye would move through the frame a bit more easily and land on the great lighting in the trees. |

Hi Ed, nice capture of these two seemingly looking at each other. I know you cropped it, I might try a cropping a bit more.
To me, this is a bit flat and might need a bit more contrast and blacks. |

Tell me about how you got the infrared version Jay! Was it a filter?
This is a nice location and subject!
To my eye, the light is a bit unbalanced, a bit too dark on the left and too light in the sky. I think if you were to either lighten or crop the left a tiny bit, then vignette or do a linear gradient the top, my eye would stay on the path a bit longer, now it goes up and off the frame. |

I think you have done a good job bringing out some of the details in the background with your processing. Compositionally, I know you mentioned it was a learning experience for you, for this image, I would like to see a bit more foreground and less sky as there isn't much to offer with no clouds. Maybe try it in B&W? |
