This reminds me of Palouse Washington area! I like the layers of canola fields with the green rolling hills. Your composition with the lines from left and right, leading to the trees and house are great. The soft colors in the sky are lovely as well. Nice shot! |

Hi Ed, I agree with Francois on the sky. it doesn't look blown, so thinking you might be able to pull it back a bit and get more of the mood in there.
I think you did a great job on the details of the driftwood and I'd like to see more of the focal point on it. Perhaps darken the foreground with a linear gradient and then a vignette around it so that my eye is focusing on it?
I did a few quick edits, let me know your thoughts (as always, just my perspective).
Global adjustments: decreased the highlights, increased vibrance and decreased saturation, added a vignette
Local adjustments: Linear grad for the bottom; selected the sky and decreased temp and increased magenta a tiny bit, added a tiny bit of dehaze, increased contrast a tiny bit, decreased both highlights and shadows, increased white a bunch; selected the driftwood and increase exposure, contrast and whites and decrease highlights and blacks, increased temperature a tiny bit, added a touch of texture, clarity and dehire, and sharpened a tiny bit as well. I also leveled it. |

I think you did a good job processing the original image, bringing out the shadows and enhancing the sky. I like how you composed the trees with the glowing sky in the middle. |

Thanks Francois, I generally agree with you on not liking the back of a subject, but I felt this one worked ok. Thanks on the suggestion about the sky, I had cropped in a bit and looking at it again, agree with you. |
