Thanks Ed, that makes sense about the color! I was thinking it was the case :D
It's a gorgeous location!

Hi Ed, I like how you composed this image with the river snaking through it.
To me, the color looks a bit too yellow and the sky looks over processed a bit in the center of the frame, there also seems to be some ghosting at the skyline.
Hope you don't mind, I took a crack at processing this, then had fun warping it a bit as I didn't like how the right side of the river started higher, then dipped down, it looked a bit out of balance (to me at least). I also took out the two tree stubs that were on the right. This was a total quick, fun edit on my part, just wanted to see how it might look doing this. |

I also think you've done a great job of capturing the landscape of the Bay Area - from the cloudy skies, to the rolling hills, water and fields.
I agree with Ed regarding the foreground and think you can crop some of it out - It's interesting, but isn't the main focal point in my opinion.
I'd also like to see a bit more of the water to separate it from the foreground and landline on the other side, where the hills are. Could you have taken the image from a bit higher to get that separation? |

Great use of black and white, feels like an old classic image. I like the person on the bridge, in fact I'd like to see him highlighted a bit more if possible. |

I keep coming back to look at this image, thinking, wow - how was this done! It's dreamlike! I like how you've processed it with the pinpoint stars, the horizon leading to the clouds and city lights. Really cool shot! |

I third the comment, good use of the dehaze! And I also agree with Ed and think more details in the treeline would make a stronger image. |

Love this image, lighting is lovely, composition is well balanced, and great choice of 60 second exposure.
All subjective of course and nits. To me, the bottom left is a bit too dark, I'd like to see a bit more of the shadows there. I also think the middle tree is a bit too bright. |

Thanks Ed! I agree, the center sun light does need a bit more details. I kept going back and forth on lightening the shoreline so great to hear your perspective. |

Hi Paul, yes, was on the ice for this shot, I wanted to capture all the great textures and amazing reflections, so ventured out. The water wasn't that deep, so was totally safe (temp was in the 40s). |
