Thanks Mark! I took my time with this one, both composing and processing it to highlight the different textures and shades of green. |

I'd definitely reach out Ed if I were up there!
I did a tiny bit with saturation if I recall, but it was more of the luminosity that I worked with.
It is a pretty magical location and was nice to shoot something different then grand landscapes. |

Great use of shutter speed here Neil! I really like the side light on the waves and the power of them hitting the rocks and rolling in. Seeing through some of the water and the green with different luminosity is nicely captured as well.
It looks like you cropped this a bit, do you have the above the trees on the right? I'm wanting to see a to go space above this with a bit more sky. |

Hi Ed, I was thinking the same thing as Paul! Safety first. Given you couldn't move left to gain separation, did you think about getting lower to see if you could get more of the sky in the background instead of the sand? Or perhaps, use a wider f-stop for a lower depth of field? Or perhaps getting a bit closer to it as you had a bit more on the focal length to get a bit wider.
I took a quick crack at some edits on this as I really wanted some separation from the sand hill in the background as well. I masked the tree stump and duplicated it and inverted it. With each mask made adjustments darkening the background and brightening the stump. I also adjusted the sky a tad and put in a radial filter to bring out the soft yellow of the sunset(?). Take it for what it is, as we know, we can all take one image and come up with a different look and feel! |

I was just talking with some people about how a drone in Iceland is awesome and here's your pic! I don't use a drone (yet!) and am always impressed with images I see from them.
I like how the river moves you through the image from above, feeling like you can drop in at any moment.
One thing for me in the processing, the river in the middle feels too bright to my eyes. It might be the screen I'm looking at it on, but it might be worth toning it down a bit?

Great luck! I like the stillness of the water and the flight of the birds. You have good depth as well with your foreground through the layers in the background. And the reflections of…all of it! Nice job.
I like the size of your crop, however I would like to see a bit more of your foreground (I think it's in the original?). |

Hi Paul, I like this play on your trip and how you added the map on the top left there I'm guessing there was sky. The Colosseum Image is well exposed and no people!
Nice image to remember your trip, a great one for a cover of a book! |
