Mark, I wasn't using a tracker on this one, There wasn't too much on either the left or right side of the rocks and if I went wider, I would have gotten the light source. Also. I wanted to frame the Milky Way between the two rocks and get as much of the vertical composition that I could. |

I like how you've edited and cropped this compared to the original. I think you used color, clarity and contrast well.
As for the scene, your use of the foreground adds so much to the image. I think it was a great choice and provides depth to this never-ending picture in a good way. |

What a great capture! Shooting nature is so hard and you've done a great job. DOF, exposure and focus are spot on.
I agree with others, that branch on the right is too bright and/or could be removed. Perhaps crop it as a square? |

Hi Neil, no, it wasn't green in person, was the white balance, which I always have trouble gauging at night. I've found it's hard to get right in camera.
Lately, I've tried to do an exposure for the sky and a longer one for the foreground and blend them. For this, it was one shot, the light painting certainly helped. |

Paul, I like this shot a lot. The yellow fern contrasting against the trees, green and sky are nice. I like the foreground yet also would like to see a bit more of the top.
What were your settings? The DOF is great and is tack sharp. |

Mark, the processing is spot on as usual! I agree with Jeffrey and Paul, the cliffs are the highlight here. Yet after I look at them, I then get lost in the open space to the right. It's a nice shot, great focus and exposure, but missing a main subject. |

Hi Darcy,
The processing you did on this from the overexposure is good and you bought out detail that I'm surprised was there -- nice job.
I like the reflection and almost think it's totally floating and there's not a reflection at all (is it one??). |

I'm with Paul on this one! I like the serenity of this image quite a bit. Your angle to capture the walkway that leads to the horizon then to the sky is really nice. I like the soft side light of the image quite a bit. I also don't mind the seagull. I also see some pink on the top right by the cloud, might be nice to play with that and see what you can bring out. I think it would changes this image though and I really like the soft blues of this one. |

Thanks Jeffrey!
Yes, there was actually a small light on both the left and the right side for a bit of light painting so I could capture the foreground. |
