Neil, nice capture of the skyline here. My only composition feedback is that I kind of want the boat to be more on the left of the frame and under the bridge. But that is a small thing. |

Love this image, this brings me back to the photographs taken in the Great Depression. You'd BW processing is spot on and I like how you used the tracks as leading lines. It's not the normal "lead" to something back in the frame, but I think it works. |

This looks like one of those images that looks really cool, yet is really hard to compose. I like the way the light is hitting the tree in the middle of the frame. Hav3 you tried to crop a bit closer to it? I think that might help create a main subject with supporting features around it.
Did you get to the South Island at all? I'm heading there in November. |

Darcy, nice shot! I like the square crop, however, to my eye, I think there is a bit too much water foreground which unbalances the image a tad. I like the luminance adjustments from you original. |

Really interesting image and looks like an amazing location. I like your edits and I like Marks as well. For me, I think his gets too much of the mist out, but is a completely different look. I agree with Darcy and you might ask 10 people what one they prefer and it might go 50/50. |

Thanks Paul! The hike getting there was rough for the first two miles, then got easier! It was so cold once we got there and the wind...don't get me started! Had to hold the tripod most of the time as the gusts were insane and cameras almost went into the river. The shooting and procession were the easy parts ;) |
