93 Apr 23 Comment Agree with Paul, your DOF is great here!

If this were my shot, I think I'd decrease the highlight in the center left a bit. My eye keeps going back to the brighter spots in the image and taking it away from the rest of the image. I think that would help with the reflection as well.

I like how you framed this with the foreground of the rock and pinnacle between the trees

93 Apr 23 Comment Great shot capturing all that is Seattle! Great decision to shoot with the long lens to compress all the elements, it really works! Apr 25th
93 Apr 23 Comment The warmth of this image is lovely Paul. I like the layers and how you can look at birds in flight, still birds, mountains and trees. I'd like to see a bit of the shadows in the trees, specifically on the left side, it seems a bit dark to me. Each of the layers are clearly defined, but that one is a bit muted to me.

93 Apr 23 Comment I like the crop on this Mark, nicely done. I do like the original as well though, both work.

Edits are all subjective and while I like what you have done, I prefer something closer to the original with the darker green sections. Again, totally subjective and without seeing the original, probably wouldn't think about it being a bit darker at all.

93 Apr 23 Comment Darcy, have to agree with the others, I'm not sure what the focus is of this image. The view looks like it could be spectacular and the foreground is interesting, but feels like the focus should be on one or the other here. Apr 25th
93 Apr 23 Reply Thanks Darcy, it really is one of my favorites as well. I have a large print of this on my wall and am always looking it. I also agree, if I got rid of the plane, it would be timeless. Prague truly is a wonderful place and would like to get back there one day. Apr 25th
93 Apr 23 Reply No worries about the typo! I was getting ready to go out of town for two weeks and I thought I had done that! :D

Thanks for the thoughts on the airplane. When I took it, I didn't see it as there was so many things going on, but I like it given how small it is. To me, it adds to it a bit, but can totally see the other side of it and that it's distracting.

93 Apr 23 Reply Thanks Neil, I had never thought of the play as the only thing keeping it in a newer era, but it is indeed true! Apr 25th
93 Apr 23 Reply Thanks Paul! The color is nice as well, but I really liked the B&W of it Apr 25th
93 Apr 23 Comment I'm with Paul here, can you tell us more about how you shot it and processed it? Love her looking over to you and how you captured her coming out of the shadow stairs.

I like how you lightened the woman from the original. My personal preference might be somewhere in between the original and your edit. I prefer the darker red against the backdrop and perhaps a little darker dress. But again, that is my preference. What you have done in the edit helps bring the focus to the woman framed but the arch.
