I hear you! They lessons are really good, but you have to do it alongside or bring in one of your images to work on them. I still haven't gotten through them all and then go back as I forget what to do! |

I use Lumenzia for my luminosity masks. I'm still not great with them, but keep practicing and know the basics. |

First, what you've done from your original to this is amazing! (Joking of course!).
This had to be a great experience to see. You can see the concentration on the faces. I like the person on the back right that is watching, but I am wanting to see a little more separation from him and the rest of the group. I think it would add to the story a bit. It might not have worked when you were there and you might have lost some of the faces you've captured if you had stepped a few to the right.
I like the angle you shot with. It feels like you are a bit lower and shooting below eye level and I think it is a nice angle.
Some things you might want to try, perhaps remove the structure coming out of the first person on the left, it is a little distracting to my eye. Also this is a personal preference, but I'd take a look at removing the white "chalk" on the foreground leading between them, it's also a bit distracting to me. |

I tend to agree with Paul, but understand sometimes you can't get a shot that you may want to take! While it's a unique instance to Palm Springs (and given all the foot prints, lots of people were enjoying it!). Your exposure, sharpness and color adjustments are on point. Curious if you tried to convert it to BW as well? It may not work, but the texture in the cactus and the footprints would provide a different look. |

I have to agree with Paul on this one -- I prefer the original. To me, it tells more of the story and I like how the green frames the entire image. That said, your submitted image is quite nice as well. I like the shutter speed selection to capture the power of the falls. |

Nice job in your BW conversion here, you did a great job of enhancing the clouds. The reflections in the water are really nice and really nice tonal ranges here! |

Reading through the comments, I don't have much more to add here. I really like the crop that Darcy did, however I think I'd clone a bit more on the right and left to add a bit more balance. |

Really nice image! I like the BW conversion quite a bit, then I see your color version and it reminded me of old sepia images which adds to it given that it was the natural light. Both are great! The mist coming off the water with the backlight from the sun is lovely. Nice capture Neil! |
