Thank you Neil, it is by far, my favorite Milky Way shot I've taken. The terrain is pretty unique there and I am grateful to have captured this! |

Nice reflection Darcy! I agree with Paul, the original isn't too green IMO and I do like the BW conversion. I like the layered reflections that provides depth. |

Nice capture Neil. I live about 1.5 hours from Monterey and still haven't gotten there to capture them.
I really like the one butterfly close to the middle bottom., but the highlight to me is the image is the cluster of butterflies, given that, have you considered cropping it a bit closer to get an even better view of your capture?
On the processing front, it's always the artist preference, but it feels a bit flat to me. Perhaps try to adjust the highlights/shadows and whites/blacks a bit? Also maybe consider using a brush to lighten the butterflies a bit as well and then darken the trees in the background to make them pop a bit more? |

Fun shot Ed. I agree about the crop as well and think that it might be good to maybe look to crop the 1/3 left side as well where you have that small sky break and see if that works maybe? I also think that it's a bit flat and could use with a small boost in contrast a bit. |

I love this shot Paul! I adore cows and like how you've captured them all looking/walking toward you. I like the pano as well, nice choice.
I agree with Dan, I think the shadows are a bit too dark and each of the cows on the end are a bit dark as well. |

Mark, I went out a few weeks ago to practice shooting waves and I have to say, it's hard to get something you like! With your image, you can feel the power of the ocean with the wave, nice job! I think the left side of the the frame is a bit too bright and draws my eye away from the wave. I like the foreground on your original a bit more as it helps lead me to the wave a bit more. |

I also agree and like the composition. You utilized the wide angle well to create the larger rocks at the bottom to lead up to the smaller ones.
I also agree that it feels a bit flat and could use a boost in the color saturation. There seems to be detail in the clouds as well and I think some minor adjustments with the shadow, highlights, blacks and whites would also help the clouds as well. I originally thought cropping them a bit would be better, but there is some nice detail there. |

Thanks Darcy. This was the first time I've done this approach and I'm happy with the results. I liked capturing the foreground during the blue hour then moving the camera up a bit to get the Milky Way shot. I like that the foreground was exposed correctly and had a lot less noise then I've had in the past with one shot! |

Got it! I always start in LR and make global adjustments to highlights/whites shadows/black, etc., then bring it over to PS for other adjustments. |

Never used that! In LR I selected both layers and opened as layers in PS. Ultimately there were two layers after I merged the 16 star images. What is the workflow for Place Embedded? I'll have to check it out! |

Thanks Paul! I had heard of StarryLandscapeStacker a bit ago, but hadn't tried it until this shot (haven't shot stars in a bit). When I tried to use it previously, had user errors. For this round, I read: https://actionphototours.com/starry-landscape-stacker-procedure-mac/
Unsure what you mean by "Place Embedded", can you elaborate?
Once I merged the Milky Way, I brought that over to PS with the foreground and lined up, then it was the fun with adjustments in the layers and luminosity to make it look like it was taken at the same time.
