Thanks Neil! The dunes are fun to shoot and for the few good ones I got, I have ton that didn't work. I will try to get a color version posted for you this week so you can see it.

Interesting thoughts Mark. Horizontal was not an option as there were tons of footprints here, so was limited by that. |

Thank you Paul! The stacking was the easy part! Keeping the details and contrast in all the different sections was the fun. Getting better and better at PS layers :D |

Hi Jeffrey, welcome to the group! Thanks for clarifying they are different images, cause I was wondering!
It sure is a beautiful vista! I like the flowers in the foreground and the way the sun hits the cliffs and clouds in the background. If you had gotten a bit higher, could you see the winding road coming from the right to the back center/left? I like that curve and am wanting to see a bit more of it.
What focal length did you use here? Was it a pano shot by chance? Or did you crop it to this format?

Hi Neil, Not sure it was possible given you were shooting at the widest focal length of your lens, but was it possible to step back a bit? I see some brush at the bottom of the frame and would like to see a bit more of that. I think that added texture would help with image. I also want to see more of the shadow on the bottom right corner, I really like that beginning of that angle.
I like the juxtaposition of the smooth rock in the foreground with the jagged rocks in the back. |

Hi Ed, I'd embrace the haze/mist! It looks like a beautiful location. If this was me, I'd try to remove the flags with content aware, I'd also remove the signs and a few of the people (including the one on the right as I like the rock they're sitting on). I also want to see the beginning of the foreground rocks a bit more, did you crop the foreground a bit? |

Paul, I like the stillness of the boat and the reflection in the water. The clouds are great and I like the color and tonal range. Like Jeffrey, there are a lot of ropes that distract me a bit, might be worth it to remove a few in PS. I also think it could perhaps use a bit more contrast in the foreground?
Curious what focal length you shot this at? |

I think your choice of a fast shutter speed certainly did help convey the violence of the falls -- nice job! I think it's interesting as that this could be a large falls or a smaller one, you just can't tell from the angle and choice of focal length.
Your conversion to B&W has a great tonal range and you did a great job keeping the details in the white of the water. |

This makes me want to head on up to Alaska, great side of the road find! I like what you've done with your processing here. I think you've boosted the vibrancy just enough.
I like the foreground in the original and the leading line that you captured in the frame and would have cropped out some of the sky instead. That said, it tells a different story of the vista vs your crop which is about the reflection and the mountains. Nice shot all around! |
