Thanks Mark. I agree that the food truck needs to be darker, I had done it a bit, but it needs more. I too love the puddle 😄 |

Glad it bring you back home! There were surprisingly few people out walking when I was there. |

Agree with Ed, they convey Christmas even though the overall scene don't scream "winter"! I also second Paul with a big thanks to you for posting our pics! Happy Holidays! |

I agree with Ed. The contrast of the color of the ornaments, the needles of the tree against the white snow is great. I love how the snow is delicately sitting on top of the needles.
I also think that cropping it to perhaps square, if it would provide more of a focus on the ornaments.
Merry Christmas! |

There certainly is a lot of dynamic range here and bracketing was certainly the right choice! I love how you've captured the sand ripples here which move my eye to the center where it then moves around to the darker mountains, the over to the brighter sunrise. I like the touch of sun hitting the to of each grass section as well. Nice shot. Happy Holidays! |

Thanks Ed! I think you're right, moving forward and taking just the trees and lights would have been a solid shot! Now have to go back to London :D. Happy Holidays! |

Great capture of the holidays and self portrait! I think you could have this image in either color or black and white and like what you've done. With the B&W. I think the color one reads more of a self portrait with your red top, while the B&W reads more holidays to me. I think the white vignette adds to the image well.
Happy holidays! |

I like what you did with the colors, the are nice and balanced all around. I also like how you framed the top with the branches which provides as it adds depth to the image. The rocks on the left do a nice job of leading you into the frame.
Not sure if was possible to do, but wondering if you could have taken a step to the left, if you could have removed the branches in the bottom right? To my eye, they distract me a bit from the overall image.

This shot pulls me not the frame in a few ways. Obviously the hallway itself and the door drives me to look there. The different tonal ranges of red drives the overall warmth as well. And the light coming in from the arches lighting up the wall is lovely. I really like this image! Did you hand hold? What were your settings and lens as you have a nice DOF here.
There are also so many ways you can process this in my mind. Obviously processing is all subjective and I if you revisit this one, I'd try to darkest the shadows a bit on the lest wall to enhance it to be a sort of mirror to the arches on the other side. I'd also try lighten inside the door frame at the end to see how that would look. The reflection on the floor is the brightest part is a small distraction and maybe darkening it a bit more along with the highlighting the door. None of my suggestions may work for your taste, but that's the fun in this! |
