Thanks Mark! I'll play around with your suggestions and take a look to see how it comes out. It's always great hearing others thoughts about how others view the image and how they might take a crack a processing. It really reminds me of being in the darkroom and subtle changes you can make and how the can change the overall image. |

Hi Ed, I've been meaning to ask, how Member showcases images get selected? Also, just noticed there's a typo in my title, can you change it to "Surfer"? Thanks! |

Neil, nice photograph. I like the green at the end as well, the sky with the clouds are nice and the shadows are great. I like all the lines vertical, horizontal, on the ground. One thing I keep thinking about regarding the composition is that I want to see the sky on top of the Memorial. |

Hi Ed, Great place to stop and take a picture. I like how you have the open foreground leading to the trees in the back. It looks like an image that was taken with film. Nice job. |

Hi Paul,
I like the range of your B&W and how you have strong whites while maintaining good blacks. The birch(?) trees toward the front with the darker trees in the back and the log cabin add a nice balance to the overall image. |

Hi Mark,
I quite enjoy this image and understand why you cropped it to horizontal. I do like the vertical quite a bit as well as the clouds a pretty nice. I like the first line in the foreground that leads to the rock and the other ice patches (I think that's what they are?). I wanted to see what this would like as a square image for a different perspective and liked how that line went into the rest of the image. Just a different look at a nice image! As I said, the clouds a great and like how you added a bit of magenta and contrast in the sky. I can certainly see why you scoped it out for night photography as well! |

Hi Darcy, I like your lines here in this shot. I prefer your original image a slight bit more. I think the water coming into the frame leading from the darker space, then flows to the frozen water, then wraps to the rocks towards the back and the trees. Looking forward to seeing your images from Alaska! |

Thank you Paul! Sometimes photographs are part luck and planning, this was definitely luck given he stood mostly still for the shutter speed! |

Thanks Darcy! Appreciate the feedback on the sky as well, I kept going back and forth on it and liked the magenta a bit more then the original, but do like them both. |
