Thank you, Bunny. All the elements sure came together for me on this one. I love wandering the midway. So much fun stuff to photograph! |

Oh, I TOTALLY left the image just the slightest bit askew. Sure I did!! ;-)
You know I'd rather be lucky than good any day, Bruce. I think I got caught up in the expressions om the riders' faces and didn't check the technical details before I made my final decisions here. I'm glad it worked out.
I'm with you, and staying on the ground! |

Mark, you've somehow managed to capture an image that works as a nature image as well as a fine art piece. You have the entire tonal range here and have rendered exceptional detail in the feathers of our friend. F/13 was a great choice, as the entire bird is in focus, but you've managed to blur the background. The subject stands out and is emphasized perfectly. Using monochrome really shows the textures throughout the bird. |

This is a very dramatic image, Bunny. Excellent choice with monochrome. As Bruce pointed out, the textures of the grasses and dramatic sky really frame the monoliths and help set the scene. Your patience really paid off and you were able to effectively tell your story. The paths leading to the circle are strong leading lines. Your description adds depth to the story, but your image was very well rendered and has a strength of its own. Great job! |

This is an incredible travel piece, Bruce. There is nothing here to give us any indication that this isn't in some exotic location. The single customer adds an intimacy and I love the treatment you've given to the image. This really exudes the emotion and mood of the scene. |
