This is a wonderful image, Bunny. It is just loaded with character and personality. The lighting gives great texture to the model, and really accentuates the tones in his skin, hair, and body paint. The facial expression and direction of his gaze really is welcoming to the viewer. The hand on his hair is a great pose and adds to the overall impact of the image. You've done so many things right on this portrait to make it a winner! |

Very nice job, Leo. The colored smoke and wingtip vortices really add a feeling of energy behind the jets. You did a great job in framing the planes with the diagonal lines coming across the frame. You've left enough room in front of the planes but left enough of the smoke behind them to tell the story. Well done! |

I really like the story that you're telling here, Bruce. The conversion to mono is absolutely the right answer. The geometry of the door versus the windows and the structure of the stair and stoop are wonderful. The texture in the brick with the peeling paint is a very strong elements. I think the tones are very well handled. The subdued tones set the mood and give a great sense of scene. What a great way of turning an everyday scene into art! |
