I really like your use of selective color, Bunny. You've maintained the texture and clarity throughout the rest of the image, and your transition from color to monochrome is perfect. The only change I'd make to the coloration is to remove the orange from the other faces behind our subject. As far as the people to the right, not in costume, I'd be tempted to try the clone stamp to try to get rid of them. Maybe sample some of the background texture?
We have our local Dia De Los Muertos celebrations going on around here. This image really caught my eye. Great job! |

This is a wonderful image, Leo. If I worked for the Macau chamber of commerce, I would be calling you immediately! I love the color balance and how sharp the image is. I also think the long, horizontal format is very powerful for this scene. The tower and tallest building, to the right, are very complementary. The fireworks balance well with the trees. They frame the scene very nicely. Fantastic work! |
