I'm with the gang here, Bruce. I really like the energy of the pose. It adds a story. I also like the background. It works well with the vertical orientation of the feathers of our friend, as well as the grain on the stump. The elements all flow together and work. The bird itself is tack-sharp and perfectly exposed. The choice of a shallow depth of field really accentuates the subject. You nailed this one. |

I think I like the reframe better, Harley. The removal of the stump makes for a cleaner image. You've captured detail in the bird that makes for a very strong image. I also like the splash of color on the bird's neck. It adds a point of interest to an already compelling scene. The work you did on the background paid off. Nice work! |

I really like the painterly feel of this image, Mark. I think the grain gives the whole scene a vintage feel. The fence, rock wall, and road are very strong leading lines, with the two people acting as anchors to hold our eyes in the frame. The house also adds visual weight to the center of the frame, keeping our gaze within the image. I really want to go to this place. |

You handled this scene very well, Lane. The softness of the sky and water give a very calm overtone to the image. The warmth of the sun really comes through. You've got good shadow detail, and we can see the darker areas of the boats. You also managed to smooth out the sky and water, but the boats are still sharp. Excellent work! |

This was very well done, Bunny. The reflection is perfect and really gives a feel for the tone of the scene. The boat gives an invitation to enter the environment, and I'd love to spend some time here. Everything is sharp, well exposed, there is detail in the shadows. There isn't a thing here that wasn't done perfectly. Nice job! |

I really like the scene here, Leo. The people looking off into the sunset on the horizon with the trees framing them draws the viewer's gaze into the frame. I also like how the pier disappears into the horizon as a leading line into the image. The only change I would make is to level the horizon. |
