Very creative, Bruce! There's a lot going on in this image and I love all of it! The only thing I might have changed was to give the skull a little more contrast and sharpness. The smoke seems to stand out and capture the viewer's eye before the subject of the image. Other than that, bravo! |

Nice capture, Harley. I think the color changes you made to the background work well with the subject. You did a great job with the textures of the feathers. The detail on our friend is really well rendered. You also made some great choices on the crop of the image and handling of blurring the background. Well done! |

This is a really interesting scene, Mark. I don't know a lot about infrared photography, but I'm fascinated by it. The range of tones in this image are wonderful. I would have been tempted to open up the shadows on the dead cactus, just to make it stand out a little more. I agree with how it looks like a crucifix. I might have also been tempted to perform a little digital landscaping, and trimmed the branches on the left side of the frame. Other than that, I like the grouping of the cactus plants against the tree in the background, and love the tone of the sky. |

I really like this image, Lane. The textures and the colors work together to really set the mood of the scene. You've captured the detail in the house wonderfully. The boards and the variations in the roof give the house incredible character. The trees behind the house frame the image, the branches bending towards the house to keep the viewer's eyes within the frame. The open windows on the house invite the mind to speculate what's inside the house, as well as to ponder the house's history. The placement of the house in the frame balances with the darker trees and the flowering bush to complete the way the elements are laid out. Great job! |

I really like this image, Bunny. The gold hue really sets a mood. The shape of the iceberg creates a very strong center of interest, and the ice in the water in the foreground adds interest without being distracting. It really completes the story. The hint of sun in the sky was beautifully captured. I think you did a great job in telling your story. The only thing I'd do differently is to watch that you don't overprocess the image. There's a little bit of a halo around the top of the iceberg. Other than that, you nailed it! |
