Nicely done, Bruce. Perfect lighting. Next time, can you ask him to sit still so the water is smoother and doesn't mar the reflection? No? Ok, then nicely done. The texture in the feathers is awesome, you got every color to show up between his beak and the rest of the body. The whole image is nice and clean. Excellent job!
(Except the "duck under" comment above) sigh |

Oh, Harley...Is there anything more frustrating than backlit airplanes? That said, you handled it well. There's good detail in the shadow without killing the rest of the frame. Nice blur on the props. Good compromise of clarity of the subjects while showing motion. You did a good job of having the two planes close together, but not letting one completely blockout the other. Right place, right time, right equipment. Nicely done. I like the smoke coming down from the corner and you left enough room for the planes to fly out of the frame. Nice work! |

I really like the idea of this image, Mark. I'm with the gang here that another stop or so could have given a litle more blur, but I don't know I'd blur it completely. I'd also bring up the highlights to make the image pop a little more. It's a skosh muddy. Other than that, I really love the composition and idea of the image. It's a gorgeous scene. |

Lane, I love the simplicity of this image. The exposure and adjustments are spot-on. There is detail throughout the exposure range. The focus is perfect. You can see the textures in the middle of the blossoms and all of the petals. I'm sure this is a gorgeous image in color, but the black and white is equisite. |

Wow, Leo. The tilted horizon has been discussed, so we'll move on. This looks like an image that the area's chamber of commerce would love. The scene has all kinds of pop. You really captured the spirit of the celebration. The colors are well represented and I love how you've presented the detail in the buildings along the skyline. Happy new year, and thank you for sharing this image! |

Welcome, Bunny!
I absolutely see the alligator! I was also thinking about how alligators and icebergs can have a lot more below the surface of the water that you can't see. I really like what you came up with for the image. It's clear, well composed, and I love how the colors work together. I thin you did a great job editing and getting rid of the extraneous items around the frame. The stroke line you gave your image is a nice finishing touch. I think you did a great job coming up with an image that has a really nice fine-art feel to it, but also illustrates your journey. Nice work! |
