Hi, Mark. I actually added noise here. With the mission as the subject, I liked the additional antique look. I think you're 100% right about the tree. I may have been too enthralled with the whole scene that I missed how narrowing my vision down a little would really help the image. Burning down the lighter areas in the sky would be a good thing too, I think. Thanks for all of your great ideas! |

Hi, Linda. I really like the changes you made. Thanks for all of your input. I don't know that I can find a thing wrong with any of your changes. I really appreciate your help! Congrats on the new machine, too! You're certainly putting it to good use. |

Hi, Bruce. Thank you for your thoughts. I think you're right about trimming some of the tree (ha!) out of the image. That really looks nice. More of a simple composition. Good catch! I appreciate your thoughts on the elements of the image. |

Hi, Lance. I really appreciate your thoughts. I was going for the film look. Thanks for picking that up! With older subject matter, it seems fitting. I try not to overuse the sepia effect, but I really liked how it worked here. I appreciate your stopping by our group and your kind words. |

Wow! There is a lot going on here, Harley. I love images where it takes me a moment to figure out what I'm looking at. I think you've really taken a creative look at this scene. There's just enough reality to make it a photograph, but the imagination is off the charts. Nice job on the treatment, too. What if you reversed the colors? Make it a black border, with a white stroke line against the edges of your image? Nice work! |

Wow, Bruce! This is a really novel image, and very well executed. There is so much going on here, it's easy to get lost in the image and just let my eyes wander throughout the frame and pick up all the details. The colors are unconventional, but really work well together. The shapes are an odd combination, but tie together really well. The detail inside the bulb with the texture of the filament and the refraction of the glass element inside are fantastic! Nice job! |

Wow, Mark. You really nailed it with this image. I have almost no experience in the post production skills you're exhibiting here, but I know enough to admire the knowledge and skill it took to make this. I can't even begin to look for anything I'd change in this image. The only thought I have is that I bet this would really pop if you printed it on acrylic or a high gloss metal application. Great work!

This is a very peaceful image, Linda. I like the tranquility the scene conveys. The muted tones and cooler color palette give it the feel of a water color. The pop of yellow in the grass at the bottom of the frame complements the blue in the sky and the overall tone of the scene. I like the time of day you chose. The blue hour was the right time for this. If I had any suggestion, it would be to work on the sky to see if you could pull a little detail out of the clouds to give some texture. Well done! |
