Nice work, Bruce. I really like the image by itself, but your explanation really makes me feel like I'm a part of the story. The detail in the feathers and the sharpness of the eye are impressive. I also like the contrast of the softness of the ripples in the water. They seem to complement each other. The color palette really gives the egret a sense of place with the surroundings. Great work! |

Wow, you started with a really strong image and pulled a post-production rabbit out of your hat, Harley. I really like the quality of light you've given this image. The colors are warm and soothing, without being washed out. You've kept the detail in both the shadows as well as the highlights, like the tiles on the roof. You brought technical skills to the table and came up with a great scene. Bravo! |

I really like this one, Mark. Sometimes simple is good. I also agree with Bruce. The monochrome is a nice change of pace. You've got rich tonal range throughout the image and wonderful composition. Sitting here, in the Southern California desert, I can feel this image, and I love it. The only tweak I'd try is to play with the color mixer and bring out some detail or darker tones in the sky. The lighthouse in the upper right corner of the frame blends into the sky a little. Other than that, really nice job! |

I really like this image, Linda. The fruit and leaves are tack sharp, giving us all the wonderful detail. The lighting is exquisite. It's not too harsh, not too soft. It really accentuates the shape and texture of the soft fruit, as well as the beading water on the leaves. I love how the light falls off as you move to the edge of the images, keeping your eyes right inside the frame. Great work! |

I love the lines and color you've presented in this image, Leo. While my eyes are admiring the reflection, I notice the boy sitting there by himself. What a wonderful mood you've set. Well done! |

Thanks, Leo. I'll try it. I liked how the lighter people stand out against the darker rotor, but I'll check. |
