54 Dec 21 Reply Hi Maria: Thanks for the kind words about my granddaughter! I will be seeing her, and all my grandchildren (5) over the holidays. Several of them live a long way away - so this will be special!
Thanks for your suggestion, which I will try.
Best wishes, Peter

54 Dec 21 Reply Brad, thanks for the great suggestions! Here's another version. Dec 16th
54 Dec 21 Reply Yes, I like it better. The blurred trailing edge of the wing seems to be more consistent with the flower. Dec 16th
54 Dec 21 Comment The lions are clearly mystified by the globe -- they look quite puzzled! I wonder how you got the front lion from your original - perhaps the warp tool? A really creative image that's a lot of fun! Have you tried it with one less lion? Dec 12th
54 Dec 21 Comment Wow! What a gorgeous flower! The colors and blurring lead you right into the center. You say that you wanted to create stark contrast between the butterfly and the flower - you've certainly achieved this. But I wonder if it might work better with less contrast -- perhaps it would help to colorize the butterfly wings to match the reds and oranges of the flower. Just a thought. Great Image! Dec 12th
54 Dec 21 Comment Lots of strong symbolism in this image - the path of a long life, pearly view of heaven and familial love of the old man - I agree with Aavo that it would be even better to see the wheelchair. Such a creative image - well done! Dec 12th
54 Dec 21 Comment This is such a strong portrayal of loneliness. The original composition showing the empty space on the bench and then darkening the whole picture really gets to the central issue of loneliness. Perhaps an old newspaper on the bench might work better than the scotch bottle and could go with the flowers. Dec 12th
54 Dec 21 Comment How creative! I love the comment about "just meandering into being". Alan's comment about "taming the tornado" is right on. The emerging colors are perfect and the background motion creates that lovely whirlwind effect. I agree that it's better without the bird. Well done! Dec 12th
54 Dec 21 Comment Love this composition! The birds are a great touch and fill in the empty space well. Have you thought about re-coloring so that the lighthouse is blue and changing the tint of the upper sky to blue also? Might work better as just a "shades of blue" picture. The rough sea around the lighthouse is very well done! Dec 12th
