Carol, I like both takes. But my preference is for the blurry initial one - it is abstract and dreamy. It still shows the bright colors but leaves the details to the imagination. And I like the sense of twirling and energy embodied in it. |

I really like the composition and the color combination. I think everything is pretty sharp except left antenna. I agree with Carol that it would be ideal to catch the face/eyes if possible next time. |

John, very nice image - great colors and texture. Very sharp. I agree that the square framing works best and I like Carol's suggestions. |

Jeff, great image and the details are amazing. I think it is sharp enough all around. I do agree on adding a bit more space around the grasshopper so it feels less crowded in. |

Stuart, I agree with the majority in their preference for the original. Maybe to make it less busy you can close in or crop the image and focus the eye more on the details of just a few of the spikes. |

Thank you Carol, I did in fact focus on the front part and then felt the softness enhanced the image. |

Margaret, I love your abstracts through a microscope. Great colors and texture. They really show how amazingly colorful and textured everything is, and so much you cannot see with a naked eye. |
