Kathy, beautiful image - seems to me the bird is smiling with its expressive eyes! I also like Isaac's enhancements. The lighter bird also enhances the reflection on the water. Could you give us details of camera settings and lens? It is useful to me as I am learning to photograph birds. |

Hi Sarita, so amazing we were in Galapagos the same month! I like this image very much - it is quite sharp and the composition and combination of colors is very nice. I agree with Kathy on eliminating the branch on the top right. |

Pei-Fan, I love the movement in the photo and the egret seems suspended on air. I like the composition as is, with blurred background but clear foliage on the left to show departing point. Quite sharp. |

Hi Jerry, great job and I like the composition too. Maybe I would crop on the right side and the bottom part to see the bird even closer. I like the enhancements by Isaac - it does make the bird stand out. Always hard with black subjects to see the details. |

Jim, what a nice image, I like the sense of movement and as you say the fact that that they are coordinated and at same focal distance. Very sharp - I like the intense eyes. I also like the reflections on the water. |

Hi Isaac, I really like the composition and also the sharpness of the eye. I agree with others on sharpening further or cropping the lower part of the image. I like the improvements by Kathy. |

Keith, I really like this image, and with the black background the flower looks suspended in space. Very pleasing, and I think you did achieve a high degree of sharpness throughout. I agree that the shorter petal distracts a bit the attention from the balance of the overall composition. |

Hi John, nice composition and quite sharp. I agree with others on the shadows on the face and also on removing the left bottom edge and maybe crop a bit more on the left side - Ieaving just a little bit of the yellow. |

Pat, great result given the difficult subject. The yellow background looks very nice with the lavender color. I also feel that perfecting focus stacking is a challenge…. I agree on cloning out the blurred area. |

Hi Stuart, quite a spectacular image. I love the colors. And the green in the eye combines with the other greens in the image. I am ok with blur on the fly as it give me a sense of action/movement. But I would like the leaf to be a bit sharper. |

Margaret, this is a wonderful result, looks almost like a painting.and has an abstract feeling to,it too. I love the color combination and the texture. I really need to learn focus stacking! |

Carol, wow wow amazing sharpness. The frog seems made of porcelain. Great colors and texture too. And I think it is a flower that it is sitting on, and it is quite amazing too. I agree that toning down the highlights would make them less distracting. |

Thanks Carol, as mentioned to Stuart it was a macro capture, no cropping. The grey spots are the beginning of the decay of the petals and I thought they could also represent the impermanence narrative. I will try to recapture and clean it up a bot. |

Hi Stuart, thanks. Sorry for the confusion - what you call the original was a separate image to show the full flower. The image I presented was a macroshot, no cropping. |
