Carol, The colors are just amazing. Looks like a paining. I have never seen a crab like this, or maybe I have not looked close enough! You did an amazing job handheld I think. On sharpening, the face looks good enough to me. |

What a beautiful image - it feels like the snail is floating in space and is almost transparent. And it is pretty sharp and defined even with the cropping. I am impressed by the color definition. |

Hi Tom, you got great sharpness with the smartphone. I also would be very interested to know if you used a clip on and which one. I liked the black background and the Halloween creativity. |

I agree with the positive comments. You have done a great job, and I like the crispness of the image and the blurred background. I am just now trying focus stacking and your success inspires me... |

Yes you are correct - it is a sequence in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. I guess if you look close enough one should be able to discern it in this vegetable! In any case it is a great image. And I will definitely go look for one soon and try photographing it too. |

Hi Fran, apologies for late comments, my 89 year old Mother is visiting and it is a full time job. Not much to add - I really like the image. And as mentioned by others the spectrum of fall colors within a leaf is quite wonderful. |

Hi Stuart, I love this image. I always wanted to take a macro picture of this vegetable - it is an amazing example of a Fibonacci sequence in nature. You did a wonderful job and I love the red lights to complement the green. Also it gives it an abstract feeling. You inspired me to actually go buy one and photograph it too! |

Hi Bob, Hope November brings you better days. I think that some cropping could make this image more interesting. It is an unusual viewpoint, and the gull and the flag give it an interesting touch. The cars on the right bottom distracted me. I tried to attach and attempted cropping hope it comes through.

Hi Viren, Dubai is quite an amazing sight and I think you capture it quite well. You had a very good viewpoint from were to shoot. Could you give us details of camera and lenses used and also settings? Maybe I would crop the foreground a bit and bring out some more the pink in the sky. |

Hi Robert, You were indeed lucky with the light. It is a beautiful image. I like the original better in terms of composition (is it leveled?) and also having a bit more of the flowers gives me a sense of the ascent. Maybe you could crop some of the left side and focus on the mountain range. Also, to my eyes there is still too much haze in the background. Definitely an image worth your time refining it. |

Hi Haru, I do think that compared to other magical images of yours this one to my eyes lacks a center of attention. I am also distracted by the trees that are cut off in the foreground. Maybe you have a shot were you are also getting the upper part of those trees. Also, I feel the colors are a bit subdued and need a bit more drama. |
