95 May 23 Comment Thanks Tom, consistent with other comments.. that is an option, or clone out the chair somehow. May 27th
95 May 23 Comment I like it! May 27th
95 May 23 Comment Hi Stuart, Wow what a beautiful shot. I am impressed on how you managed to get all of it focus, and the details of the leaves are amazing. Lots to learn... May 23rd
95 May 23 Comment Hi Pat, I also like your image - reminds us of the beauty around us constantly. Many times we rush too much to appreciate simple things. I like how you focused on the crumbs, so the eye goes there first, and then processes the origin of the detail. May 23rd
95 May 23 Comment Hi Tom, I really like your image - I like it looks so abstract. It could be so many things - initially I thought of the circulatory system or rivers and their affluents from space... the only thing I might change is the title to make it more mysterious! May 23rd
95 May 23 Comment Hi Keith, I also wondered why the image wasn't sharper given the tripod and aperture. I have also been experimenting with bugs and it quite challenging. I think it is harder to photograph dead bugs because the eyes always make images of bugs more interesting -but the trade off is that then they are alive and move around. Enjoy your trip. May 23rd
95 May 23 Comment Hi Carol, very nice and super sharp image , your frog looks to me almost as a painting. I really like what you achieved with the colors. The one area that distracts my eye a bit is the surface just before where the rock was. I wonder if it would help to clone the same texture as the the surface on the right side. As always I learn from you a lot on options to improve an image. May 23rd
95 May 23 Comment Hi Fran, I also like this image very much. It is a good lesson for me of how you do not need to try to have too much in focus to shoot a beautiful photo. May 23rd
95 May 23 Reply Carol, thanks for the tips - I guess I need to be more flexible on ISO even if I use a tripod. And I am still struggling to get the right f stop in macrophotography. Particularity with insects that are of a certain length. That is why I decided to go for the head and front part only in focus. I will keep practicing. May 17th
95 May 23 Reply Thanks Stuart, I have a lot to learn on Macro - up to now when I use a tripod I automatically always keep ISO at 100. Yes - I was scared it would fly away if I tried to move it. May 17th

96 May 23 Reply Thank you Bob, thank you so much for letting me know of this Division - I had not explored it before! Seems very interesting for me. (P.S. what is "RA's transform work?) May 23rd
96 May 23 Comment Hi Bob, very interesting image, as mentioned by others it is a different and distinct point of view and it works very well. Just minor comments - I also think you should straighten the vertical part of wall on the right. Something about the white of the glass and brown of the wood on the upper part of the balcony looks over saturated to my eyes. Nice creative work. May 10th
96 May 23 Reply Thanks Haru for your thoughtful comments - will include them in final version of photo. May 10th
96 May 23 Comment Hi Cheryl, what a beautiful image - I'd hang it in my wall! I really like the reflection that makes the mountain even more impressive. And I love blue so it speaks to me… This month I really find it hard to make a comment that could make this better. I would also be curious to see the original to see how much your color adjustments changed the natural color of the original shot. And as always I learn from you - I now discovered adobe color! Thank you May 10th
96 May 23 Comment Hi Dan, interesting image that definitely made me think too. The darkness and the distressed walls definitely project a sense of heaviness and of course knowing it was a penitentiary increases this feeling. So for me in a way the image by itself tells a story. I understand your point about the white wall in the back and how the eyes tend to go there. Still I am not convinced by the elk, maybe because it feels superimposed and with a different quality image. Robert's ray of light solution is intriguing and works for me - but it makes it a different image. Maybe adding some object that is more associated with a prison cell? although it could make it fall again into the more typical jail cell photo. Overall the image projects the feeling you are seeking, and as Haru says adding the elf makes into art. May 10th
96 May 23 Comment Hi Robert, this is a beautiful image and I especially like the blues and the depth of the shot. On your questions, I personally do find the exposed rock a bit distracting and I think that cloning it out or decreasing the foreground would not impact the depth and beauty of the image. Would be interesting to see the original sky - the dark grey now looks a bit superimposed. Mt. Adams looks good to me - it pops out to my eyes quite well now. May 8th
96 May 23 Comment Hi Haru, it is a beautiful and peaceful image. The combination of colors is gorgeous. I also like the landscape version better. It gives me a sense of depth and looking at it I feel like I am walking into the woods. I see a path ahead in the wider version. I myself like the light as is - maybe I would just lighten up the left lower corner. But as Robert says it is so beautiful that one could work on many versions depending on what pleases one's eye better. May 8th
96 May 23 Reply Thanks Dan, I been struggling with the poles… in general I think I have to make peace with modifying the reality of an image I took with some changes/omissions to better fit the message I want to convey. May 8th
96 May 23 Reply Thank you Robert very useful comments for this image and for the future! May 8th
