Maybe a fake owl on a post would deflect some of the birds. It wouldn't look very good, though(unless you really like owls). Maybe you could put something like this up for when you're not at home. Amazon has a lot of collision prevention stickers, but these are not very pretty. It's a dilemma. |

Sharp as can be. Great Egrets are graceful soarers. |

Good capture. I've seen a lot of them at a distance; the processing allows one to appreciate the green and blue that I didn't know was there. Maybe oversaturated.
I bet he was scanning for coyotes. Beep Beep.

What a stunning photo. I'm also wondering why they don't migrate; maybe they've just got it too good there. |

Yes Tom, that helps. Thanks
Leslie, I must admit the pelican is not a thrilling character. I guess I was paradoxically bemused by his lazy complacency. Thanks |

That's a graceful bird well captured except for the fence. Im relieved it's not actually a sandhill as that would start a stampede for birders to come see this variant! |

Great shot. Good that the squirrel is not visible. That sun room must function as a kind of hide. |

It's a lovely, peaceful image.
You guys are confusing me...how is dirt not nature? Is it because of the excavator/hand of man? I think that a viewer would not know immediately that either image displayed the hand of man, though the photographer would know how that dirt got there. |

It's a funny picture. Team Duck wins by a bill. Agree with the water adjustment suggestions |

An excellent shot. Indeed, whose ghostly Long John's are these?
Agree the sky could go. Gunter, how did you straighten the left wall? |

Agree with the sadness/pathos implied with this failing flower. But that's the way it goes with flowers! I would be sad if the bouquet I bought was wilting.
Definitely like Karen's adjustment |

Never been to a balloon fest but I can see the appeal. Good composition except for the busy sky. Gunter compensated for this and the haloing in his version. I take it burnout references the flames when they are occurring; is it better photographically when these are more emphasized? |

The purple color was just something that appealed to me as I was playing with the image. Realistic color was not the goal. Actually the only real colors are just black and white with the exception of full moons seen near the horizon which can be red-orange. Also, during a less tan full moon, the shadowed portion can be a dull dreddish, which I believe is caused by earthshine.
