Agree with Tom. The water is particularly appealing. |

The sun being hazy, you warmed the image up very nicely. Nice job. |

Just stunning. I thought about cloning out the stick, but nah, its part of the nest construction. |

I really like this capture. I played around a bit with masks, light balance. My efforts were maybe a bit overdone, but what do you thinK? |

A great shot of a very handsome bird. I agree with Tom, the bird could use a little more space to it's front and above. Does anyone know how to generate an extension of the edges of an image, i.e. recompose in post? |

Mike, I'm perplexed by the blue as well. Were all the herons in the tree this blue? Could this be some sort of color morph, or hybrid? Or an artifact from light balance or processing, either intentional or accidental? Either way, its a great shot of a pair of noble birds nesting. |

Thank You Judy,
I'll try that particularly with my Oly, since that's what I use most of the time.

Hi Karen
I agree about the better focus, and I appreciate a different, simpler treatment.
Thanks, Ron |

Yes, it's a great photo. Little to contribute except possibly eliminating the rectangular shaped item at the car's roofline. But that's nit-picking. |

Thanks Bob. You are right; I think the composition/framing you describe would be a very good improvement. I like to photograph church interiors, so I'll keep your idea in mind for sure. |

Thanks Gunter.. I probably did not use a tripod....probably trying to be discreet given the setting. Altered Reality....sounds like a goal for mucht of humanity or a way to classify distorted images.
Anyway, I like how you corrected the image's perspective. Looks a lot less altered, really. The perceived accentuation of height kind of adds a Notre Dame-like feel to the space. |
