I can see where it would be difficult to distinguish from a House Finch. This guy posed nicely for you. Looks like he expects a tip. Great detail. Audubon says it will become a scarce and local bird by 2080 due to profound impact from climate change, sadly |

So sharp at such a long reach. Lovely bird. Gotta go to Columbia. |

Yep, thanks, a bit of space ahead of the bird would be good. |

I like it as it minimizes the green area in the upper right that I couldn't easily get rid of . Thanks! |

Great image of the Ibis. As per what Mike said, it does seem the bird may be walking downhill, but maybe that was exactly what it was doing. Good DOF and recovery of detail in the highlights. |

The capture is great; such an elegant bird. I agree with Mike, the bird seems to be in the process of angling away or turning. Second image is better having dispensed with the halo. Were it to be enlarged I think the noise would be bothersome. I'm surprised the subject is so sharp at 1/100.
Is this a Great Egret?
Is there such a species as a Snow Egret?
It's not a Snowy Egret |

Tom,
Ive seen the Limpkins at the boardwalk on the east end of Sweetwater within the past year. Don't despair, I think all bird species populations rise and fall over the years. Great shot of a funny bird with the apple snail. As you undoubtedly know, Snail Kites are in the neighborhood; their bills are perfectly evolved for unshelling Apple Snails. |

98 mm on the built in zoom on Nikon P 950 point and shoot. Up to 2000 mm optical available on the zoom of this fun camera, but the glass could be better |

I like the rectangle better. Karen used the word"whirlwind". It rather looks like leaves in a water whirlpool, too. Very pleasing. Where is this swirl filter in PS? |

Really nice composite. The asymmetrical placement of the sun adds a subtle and artistic-contrasting feel to the symmetry of the antlers/pelvis. Darkly beautiful |

Concur, probably needs more room to land. If you took a burst maybe you have a shot of the landing too. But its a memorable shot |

That's really cool. You obviously have an eye for picking out patterns that lend themselves to repeat iterations and abstraction. You should hang a print in the medical office right near the spot that inspired you. |

I didn't know garlics were a still life candidate, but now I do! Thanks. It's a lovely picture. I think I'd like it a bit brighter altogether, but you weren't looking for that. Increasing the saturation of the purple might be interesting |

I think it has plenty of oomph. I agree with the crop edits |
