I almost cropped it as well as I agree the other birds were distracting. But I thought the crop would have been too severe. But your crop definitely wasn't overly severe, and I think it's an improvement. Thanks. |

I love the earth tones. No problem with the composition. Good eye |

Bob, indeed I'm perusing old photos and reprocessing them. I thought the bizarre subject and its coloring would carry the day. Not so, though, given the problem with focus and artifacts. Some rules need more rigorous attention than others. I'm not going to send it to the round file as it includes a memory. Thanks!

Yep, that sure is a dramatic capture. They're neck and neck. The riders look more composed than their mounts.
Not sure it would work out, but I'd like to see the many branches and the background de-emphasized a bit. But, diminishing their exposure may lead to an unrealistic look.
Great, sharp capture of a fast event. |

That's a lovely abstraction of the fall scene. That Topaz plug in sure does a good job.
There are so many images of Autumnal colors reflecting on smooth water, and this was a very good one. But I really like this new way to see the trees on the lake. |

A wonderful composite, very striking. I particularly like the black and white clouds overlying the circle gradient. Another minimalist idea maybe could be a tiny bird off to one side instead of the eagle.
There's a bit of geopolitical contrast here too which is interesting. The Rising Sun, Japanese minimalism, and the iconically American eagle.
Great pic! |

I love it because it's, well, disturbing. I so much want to straighten the horn out! But then...I've studied on it some...it suggests a smooth slur between musical notes. Also suggests musical freedom or expressive license. The brass/chrome in black and white feels buttery smooth too. Great job, a very contemplative image. |
