I know that eye! That's my grandmother's eye before her cataracts got too bad.
OK, time to let the eye issue go.

That's a really interesting bird, and I like the bright sky behind them. Great composition. I'm ready to go to Amazonia now. So many cool birds, so little time... |

Thanks all for appreciating a lucky shot! The darn things just sat there like they were paralyzed. And the added space is a real plus; I must look into the Photo Shop beta. |

That's a wonderful picture. The fledglings are getting nearly as big as the parent. I see that the somewhat narrow depth of field de-emphasizes the background nicely. I wonder if this is the same species of Great Blue Heron as here in North America? |

What a great shot of a cool bird! The 1/1000 shutter priority pinned the action down. I'll have to visit Fort deSoto. Mike's adjustments also bring out the bird's eye a bit. I wonder if one could mask that eye and increase its exposure.

I agree with Tom, this is the best pic of an ibis I've seen. The bird is almost stately in its pose, and you can appreciate the lovely blue of it's eyes |

Karen: I like the crop and the implied message. ("Stay away from the scary Vaper")
But who knows? Maybe he's the kindest, gentlest man in town. |

Perfectly aligned. I've never seen this perspective. I think the fountain water looks good at this shutter speed. You might send it to the Chamber of Commerce. |

A distinct improvement. That corner was just to distracting. Thanks for the suggestion. |

Great grab on the street. I'd like to see it 1/2 second later ( in a series, if one was prepared for such ), in order to see a bit more of his face. But the title is "Incognito", so maybe that's the way you wanted it. Maybe he wouldn't have appreciated a lengthy burst, though. I wouldn't want that fellow angry with me!
Looks like he's vaping, which would account for the thick plume. I agree it's off-putting for cookie purchasing. |

Yes, the vivid red draws the eye first. I like the compositional aspect of the circles and the hard angles side by side. Great find! |

Yep, poppies are great. I imagine the vivid color caught your eye while driving along. Well composed, peaceful image, and no wind! Maybe a little dark, but perhaps that was because of the time of day and you wanted to preserve that feeling. I |
